- This is my favourite movie. I haven't actually seen many movies, so that's not a big claim, but still.
- As much as I want to preserve it as an experience rather than an essay, I had an assignment due sooo
- (Dr) Frank-N-Furter is so instrinsically fantastical (& camp, & transgressive, & non-human) that he can explore the taboos of 1975 (such as queer sexuality/gender expression) and taboos of human civilisation (such as murder, cannabalism and sexual coercion). *obviously problematic for putting queerness and murder stuff together, but it was 1975, what else do you want?
- Brad and Janet's corruption is universal. Anyone in their place (even you) would become corrupted / liberated.
- Because of this, Brad and Janet (and you) are free from responsibility and liability for your corruption / liberation. There's nothing wrong with being queer.
- Despite this amoral (not immoral) framing, their corruption/liberation harms them and others. This says that, while deviance is not wrong, it is dangerous. This is a comment on their times (1975) and wider social norms, i think. No spoilers but rip.

- For my writing class, I've gotta do a creative piece where I subtly lead the reader into a specific ideology. I've gotta write some propaganda.
- So I'm writing a supposedly objective piece on piracy, the pros and cons, an academic analysis of whether it's moral or immoral. And under the 'objectivity', I'm trying to put a leftist and anti-capitalist frame. So ideally, it's a text that will be accessible for readers of all ideologies, but will reinforce leftist ideology. It's not very good (yet).
- I still dont actually know how i feel about piracy. Obviously it's bad to steal an artist's work, especially if you're profiting off of it or causing them actual loss. But I can't help but feel so negatively towards large corporations that I think pirating would be okay? Like I wouldn't steal from a small grocery store, but from Coles is allegedly fine in my view. I dunno. I'm not an artist (i think)
- I just submitted it! I'm not super proud of this one but whatever

- Norwegian black metal with murder, church burnings and pig corpses? Crazy shit.
- In this article, sociologists explain why people deliberately make themselves weird. Kinda.
- Where internal (thoughts, feelings, values) and external performance (social norms) are mismatched, people either conform or escalate (fit in or get weird). When people escalate, they reject social norms in the pursuit of authenticity.
- The effects of escalation are shown by Norwegian Black Metal, a subsubculture in the 1990s. These guys came off 4chan-esque to me: hated commercialisation, edgy, hated normies. But then some thought it got too normalised, so they started getting more niche and extreme and serious, eventually killing each other, doing arson, burning churches, shit like that.
- Losers
- But then they got super popular? For doing heaps of crime?
- So this means that people deviate from norms a lot, and that it is an effective strategy politically, culturally or commercially. I think?

- Advertising shapes and is shaped by cultural attitudes towards gender and sexuality.
- Corporations attempt to improve profits by contributing to political parties who will support fiscally conservative (and corporation-friendly) policies.
- Advertisements reflect(ed) heteronormative standards of the time, including only het couples. This advertising influenced and was influenced by the marginalisation of queer people.
- More queer representation is cool, corporations are still at odds with queer people, fundamentally in my view - they are bound by profit, profit is best made through exploitation, exploitation is best done with marginalisation and hegemony.

- This was written in October last year, when i was out as trans, but completely hypothetically. I hadn't started hormones, my hair was short, I was just waiting for things to happen. About -2 weeks of hormones.
- It's just a rework on that soccer movie where the guy's a chick? Channing tatummmm
- She's the man! that's it
- But it's actually just me rambling about dysphoria, plain and simple. And my hypothetical future euphoria.

- This was fun. I cried a lot writing it, I don't really know why.

- This is the best legal problem response I've ever done.
- My teacher's using it as an HD example.
- 'It was a pleasure marking your letter of advice!' - my teacher.
- We are not the same.
- It's so good I got a $1,000 scholarship for it.
- I move different, this shit aint nothing to me man
